Tarnagulla is only a few kilometres away and this old Gold mining town has been virtually untouched by time.
Borrow the self drive C.D. from "Rostrata" and listen to the commentary on Tarnagulla as you drive around.
Stroll along the walking path starting at the School.
Past the Uniting Church and down to the Victoria Theatre where Dame Nellie Melba and Lola Montez, both sang.
Finish at the Poverty Mine which was allegedly the richest pocket of reef ever found yielding an amazing 13.5 tonnes of gold in 13 months.
In the winter enjoy a round of golf on the 9 hole sand scrape course.

Rostrata provides bikes & helmets, allowing you to cycle around our area and the State Forest Reserves.
Enjoy a walk through these areas with their peacefulness and soft sounds of nature.
The Various State Parks are also a wonderful place for bird watching and photography.
