Over the past two weeks, the hands of time have once again been turned back at Rostrata Country House, to a gracious time when guests were served morning or afternoon tea, with silver tea pots, fine china, white linen, and the usual homemade cakes etc. We started with a coach group arriving for a walk through Rostrata, followed by morning tea. Great interest was shown in the “Nostalgia Shed”. This is a new feature at Rostrata, and allows people to step back in time and remember a bygone era.
We held High Tea on the Sunday for the business people in the area to come together and network amongst themselves. As some people did not know each other and the businesses they have, or where they are situated, it was a fruitful time. An opportunity was given for each person to speak about their business, and answer any questions. I believe this day will be another small way in which we can help tourism develope further in our area.
Last Saturday we hosted a combined caravan group for afternoon tea. They had left their vans in a park and arrived by car. This booking was placed, as a member had previously been to Rostrata on a Loddon Shire Discovery Tour. A relaxing, enjoyable time was had by all.
Rostrata Country House, situated in a secluded setting, sets the scene for a relaxing farm stay, a walk through with morning or afternoon tea, various small group meetings, or staying the weekend for a night photography class with Night Scape Images.
